Returning

My main :)
When I'm not wandering around SL looking for things to keep my interest, I'm roleplaying in Upper Kingdoms, an Ancient Egyptian/Nubian sim. I've been out of game for some time now, so I had more than a few things to catch up on.
Having a tavern night tonight, so will enjoy some scandalous gossip as per usual...Thinking about proposing some serious roleplay ideas. Something about a power play...who knows. Currently I roleplay the part of the Head Priest of Amun..which is as high as I can get in the temple. Next comes a bit of a play for Nubia or Egypt I think.
*Evil laugh*
LOL. I'm hoping to be able to organize a tourney for this week as well!

James Cameron's "Avatar" in Second Life

Avatar!
As can be seen by both the banner and the picture posted above, the new hot thing in SL has become roleplay based on James Cameron's movie "Avatar". There are several very promising sims, in the very early stages, obviously. One worth checking out is "Arborea", but a quick search for "Pandora, Na'vi or Hometree" will reveal a good chunk of others in the same vein.
There are already some excellent products created for this new world. A visit to the landing points in almost any of the Avatar sims contain some of the best makers.
The second that I saw the movie for the first time, I knew that there would be sims in SL popping up right away. The premise is one which makes for excellent roleplay. The native peoples embattled against the invading, greedy humans in search of unobtainium. I've seen the movie twice now, and I recommend IMAX 3D! It was awesome...I wouldn't object to going a third time.
Cheers!

From my brain to your screen.

This is about as simple a forum for me as can be. I have a real life, and I have a second life.

Second life went from an experiment, to a need, to a chore. As of right now, it has returned to being somewhat enjoyable, but it gets less and less of my time.

Over the holidays, I abandoned my computer, and went without SL for over a month. It was easier than I thought it would be. When I ventured back in this week, I made the decision to keep it on the back burner. That means when I come in, doing things that I enjoy.
