Avatar!As can be seen by both the banner and the picture posted above, the new hot thing in SL has become roleplay based on James Cameron's movie "Avatar". There are several very promising sims, in the very early stages, obviously. One worth checking out is "Arborea", but a quick search for "Pandora, Na'vi or Hometree" will reveal a good chunk of others in the same vein.
There are already some excellent products created for this new world. A visit to the landing points in almost any of the Avatar sims contain some of the best makers.
The second that I saw the movie for the first time, I knew that there would be sims in SL popping up right away. The premise is one which makes for excellent roleplay. The native peoples embattled against the invading, greedy humans in search of unobtainium. I've seen the movie twice now, and I recommend IMAX 3D! It was awesome...I wouldn't object to going a third time.
